{263} mistaken identity

you wouldn't believe how often people think my name is "lorne" and that i am a male. lol last week, my boss' voicemail indicated to call me with any questions in his absence. so, the phone rings and i say "good afternoon, lauren speaking." and there is a pause and the person calling says "oh! you're a woman!" lol um, yeah. i am. he proceeded to say that he was expecting to speak to a man named "lorne"!

anyway. so, yesterday i ordered a sandwich from a local joint and when i picked it up, there it was again. the name "lorne" had been written on the receipt. :)
