{278} scraps

don't do much scrapping these days. the only thing i'm doing is working on my travel journal from my trip to disney world in september. but, this name idea has been on my list since the very first day! it only took me 278 days to finally make it! i always suspected it would be a time-consuming project but it took no more than 15-minutes! score! so, i cut a whole bunch of strips of scrapbook paper, glued them down in random placements on a 12x12 paper, and then cut out the letters of my name in a haphazard fashion.

{86} graphic cards

i had bought a really large pack of these sassafras cards from peachy cheap about a year (or more) ago. i had never used any of them in any sort of way, so i was packing them up for the upcoming garage sale. but then i spotted one card that said "u is for umbrella" and i was inspired to cut the cards into the letters of my name quickly! a super simple project for today but at least these cards got some use before their sister-cards get sold. :)

(the original cards are below. they are actually pretty cute. i may need to keep the rest after all...)

whilst i was packing stuff up and pricing scrapbook items for the garage sale--i'm selling a TON of stuff--young g laid in his bed beneath the table in my craft room and snoozed. well, except for this one moment right when i took a picture because he heard the rustle of a leaf three blocks away and it frightened him. ;)

{56} mosaic

before going to the crop and create event last weekend, i had to pack my scrapbook bag. i hadn't used it in a while and i became frustrated when i couldn't fit stuff in. that's when i realized that in the linings of the bag, there used to be hard plastic dividers but i guess in all my aggression over the years, those linings had crumbled apart. so, carefully with a scissor, i snipped a hole in all the linings and dug all those crumbled pieces of plastic out from the bag. of course, as i was doing this i was thinking that i would need to save all these pieces for a name project! so, here it is. :)

{53} crop and create

today i was totally pumped because i got to go to the crop and create scrapbook convention in winnipeg. it was amazing and fantastic and i had a blast. though i was creating all day, i did not have a chance to create my name so instead i took a picture of my name on my lanyard.

oh, and totally check out the HUGE haul of free goodies i got! isn't that insanity?? love.
