{202} recycle, please

yes, that's a lot of water bottles. yes, i know they are bad for the environment. but there was a reason i had so many and that is because i had a wrap party (we wrapped ourselves in these detoxifying masks and then in saran wrap...for serious) and we needed to drink a lot of water so i decided to purchase the bulk pack of water bottles. then i had to finish all the other ones so i kept on drinking and, for whatever reason, saving the bottles. good thing, though, or else i'd never have finished this name.

{176} flood

last night we experienced a torrential downpour. in fact, in the course of three hours the rain fell at a rate of FOUR INCHES PER MINUTE! and, the strange part was that this was an isolated storm--no other neighbouring towns were affected. some people joked that we should have an ark built in case this happens again.

so, my street at home seemed fine. i got in the car thinking all was well. but then i approached brandt street. completely under water. i hit reverse and thought i could access my office building from a different approach. didn't work. i approach our building and the entire main floor is evidently under water (not the entire floor, but about 2-3 inches of water were clearly INSIDE the building).
